CCT presented ACPA's Gold "Excellence in Concrete Paving Award - Industrial Pavements" to Austin's Mayor Lee Leffingwell and Austin Water, at the City's December 15, 2011 City Council Meeting. The award was for the 15 acre expansion of the Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Facility concrete compost pad.

Austin's Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Facility expanded its existing 25 acre roller compacted concrete pavement processing pad in 2011, with an additional 16 acres of continuously reinforced concrete. The innovative design by HVJ Associates, and fast, high-quality construction by Chasco Constructors, resulted in a national Gold Excellence in Concrete Paving Award from the American Concrete Pavement Association.
