"Dream Big," a new IMAX film that uses the scale of the giant screen to explore how we use science and technology to build, invent and shape our world, is coming to Texas theaters starting on Engineers' Week, February 17, 2017. The American Society of Civil Engineers Texas Section is helping to coordinate showings in Texas.
The film's producers state that it is the "...first film for IMAX® and giant-screen theatres to answer the call of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) initiative – which offers a fresh perspective on engineering and aims to inspire kids of diverse backgrounds to become the innovators, educators and leaders who will improve the lives of people across our entire planet throughout the 21st Century." The film was produced by MacGillivray Freeman Films, in partnership with the American Society of Civil Engineers and Bechtel Corporation.
The film is scheduled to hit Texas theaters beginning on Engineers' Week in Houston and Fort Worth, and at other times in Austin, Dallas, Galveston and Lubbock.
