TxDOT and FHWA to Showcase Innovative Technologies at Free DFW-Area Workshop
TxDOT and the Federal Highway Administration will host a FREE 1-day workshop and site visit on May 1, 2012 in Westlake (DFW Marriott Solana Hotel) showcasing innovative technologies being used on FM 1938 in Westlake, as part of FHWA's Highways for Life program.
ACI Pavement Symposium Presentations Available for Download
The American Concrete Institute, at its recent Dallas Spring Meeting, held the "Symposium on Cement-Based Integrated Pavement Solutions," with three technical sessions on concrete pavements in Texas, roller compacted concrete, and soil cement. Downloads of the technical presentations are now available for all.
Integrated Cement-Based Paving Solutions Symposium at ACI/Dallas
The American Concrete Institute is holding its Spring 2012 Convention in Dallas (March 18-22), and it will include a 1-day Symposium on Integrated Pavement Solutions (March 19).
CCT Presents Paving Award to Austin's Mayor Lee Leffingwell
CCT presented ACPA's Gold "Excellence in Concrete Paving Award - Industrial Pavements" to Austin's Mayor Lee Leffingwell and Austin Water, at the City's December 15, 2011 City Council Meeting. The award was for the 15 acre expansion of the Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Facility concrete compost pad.
Texas DPS Tactical Training Center Receives ACPA Award
The Texas Department of Public Safety Tactical Training Center used 253,000 sq yds of three types of concrete pavement: Continuously reinforced, jointed/reinforced, and post-tensioned/unjointed in this unique project.
