Concrete Culverts Recycled as Artificial Reef

More than 4,000 unused concrete culverts were unloaded near Port Mansfield, to build an artificial fishing reef. The recycled culverts will provide habitat for fish and marine life. The project is part of the Texas Artificial Reef Program, which was established to create reef sites at each of Texas' major ports.  Alamo Concrete Products, a subsidiary of CCT member Alamo Cement Company, donated the culverts.  Read the full article in the San Antonio Express-News.
