Valmont Pole Plant Helps Link Texas Wind Farms to Cities

Valmont's expanded Bellville spun concrete pole plant (see related article) will help utilities cost effectively build the 345kv transmission infrastructure necessary to transmit power from West Texas wind farms to DFW and other population centers.  In an editorial by Don Marsh of Concrete Products, Valmont's "investment in larger utility pole capacity has as much to do with green jobs as a warehouse full of solar panels."  Read more in Concrete Products October 2011 edition...
